Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request the deletion of the personal data processed by ChatWire, including data obtained through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform.

1. If you are a ChatWire customer

Option A — from your dashboard: log in at https://app.chatwire.net and delete your account. Deletion is immediate.

Option B — by email: write to info@chatwire.net from the email address linked to your account, with the subject “Data deletion”. Once we have verified your identity, we will delete the account within 30 days at the latest and confirm it by email.

Deleting the account immediately and irreversibly erases:

  • the account data and its configuration (sub-accounts, AI agents, knowledge bases and integration credentials);
  • the contacts, conversations and related metadata stored in ChatWire;
  • the audio files, images and documents stored on our servers.

The following are not deleted with your account:

  • billing records that the law requires us to keep, managed through Stripe;
  • data already stored in services you connected with your own accounts (for example, GoHighLevel, your S3 or R2 storage or your AI provider), which you must delete in each of them;
  • data that Meta keeps under its own WhatsApp terms.

2. Removing ChatWire's access to your WhatsApp Business

In addition to deleting your account, you can remove ChatWire's access to your WhatsApp Business account at any time from your Meta business portfolio settings, under integrations or connected apps. From that moment on, we will stop sending and receiving messages on your behalf.

3. If you have messaged a business that uses ChatWire

If you have communicated via WhatsApp, SMS or email with a business that uses ChatWire, that business is the controller of your data, so please contact it directly to have your data deleted. You can also write to us at info@chatwire.net with the name of the business and your phone number: we will forward your request to the business and help it respond.
